Demands on innovative vehicle technology are continuously increasing. In order to introduce new technologies into the automotive market, they must be laid-out, tested and produced to comply with the challenging climatic, thermal and mechanic environment they will be used in.
To meet the highest demands, our solutions correspond to the standards set for railroad technology by the UIC, as well as national and international standards, such as DIN, ISO or EN. We are developing electronic controls for reliable use in land and water vehicles.
Please find a selection of our products from our business area electrical vehicle equipment. We will be happy to provide you with more detailed information on these and other products upon request.
REXXON has developed the Compact Microprocessor Controller CMC20 and uses it to control complex HVAC systems in mobile applications. This Controller is also available in a 19-inch version and there are further developments for military use, for remote data transmission and for various bus systems. The Controller and programming services are freely available on the market. REXXON supplies the hardware and develops customer-specific software.
The Compact Controller CMC20 is the basic module of a microprocessor controller family for the application on vehicle air conditioning systems. Encased in a housing which makes it easy to install and easy to maintain, it offers precise control accuracy, high capacity software functions, as well as versatile connection possibilities to the specially designed processing and communications interfaces for climate control in railway vehicles.
The CMC20 is equipped with a high capacity CAN-interface for configuration of local control systems. The CAN-Interface enables networking of several CMC20 to expand the controlling functions and the communications to the other on-board control systems.
The Control Unit of the electro-pneumatic brake system plus emergency brake override is located on locomotives or driving trailers and in its primary function it controls the ep-brake equipment of the whole train by using the common signal transmission line. The emergency brake-override is an additionally integrated safety function for trains that pass through long tunnels. It uses the same signal transmission line as the ep-brake system and has the effect that a passenger-induced emergency brake signal can be deliberately held back until the train leaves the end of the tunnel.
The REC 6000 represents a new generation of battery chargers for mobile application. Based on innovative power electronics technology, it facilitates a high power output of 6kW while occupying only minimal mounting space combined with low weight
The increasing speed of trains results in a growing need for pressure-protection systems which safeguard the passengers from severe air pressure peaks, for instance when passing through a tunnel.
REXXON develops and provides the pressure-protection control system PCU 1000 for monitoring and controlling the pressure-protection valves DWV Type 4 that seal off the ambient air-intakes of the air conditioning system.
The PCU 1000 is designed for a so-called passive pressure-protection control system that activates the pressure-protection valves through highly sensitive sensors and super rapid electronics within milliseconds. The valves themselves are supplied with compressed air.
REXXON also carries out project planning, system analysis and system testing on passive and active pressure-protection systems.
REXXON has developed the CommBoxx for electronic remote transmission of service data. The special quality of the CommBoxx lies in its universal options for mobile application, such as in railway vehicles. The CommBoxx is designed for communication with the REXXON Compact Microprocessor Controller CMC20 and can also be fitted to other systems. It works using a modem that connects to the standard mobile telephone network. Cost-effective remote data transmission works across country borders, is reliable, and satisfies the requirements for diagnosis and process data transmission. The data are managed and evaluated using the Service Management System RailSolut®.
